Welcome to the Office of Design & Construction

Appalachian State University The Office of Design and Construction was created in 1996 as a separate operating unit within Business Affairs.

The primary responsibilities of the unit are as follows: Direct participation in the development and maintenance of the comprehensive University long range facility plan and supporting documents. Administer the capital improvement process. Provide optimal capital project information, coordination and review opportunities for all segments of the University community. Provide liaison with appropriate Federal, State and local agencies on matters related to planning, design and construction.
